December

It’s hard to believe but we are already in the month of December and the season of Advent.  Advent means “coming” or “arrival”.  During the Advent season we are anticipating and preparing for the arrival of Jesus Christ.  This month our activities will focus on Advent and Christmas.  We will sing Christmas songs, make Christmas crafts, talk about the birth of Jesus Christ and much more! 

We have already been busy practicing our song for the Christmas Concert on the evening of Thursday, December 18th.  We are very excited to stand on stage and share it with our families.  Please have your child dressed in their “Sunday Best” clothes for the concert.  The Pre-K’s will meet in the library and they need to be there for 6:30pm. 

On Wednesday, December 17^th we will be decorating ice cream cone Christmas trees.  We may get a little messy working with green icing on this day so please dress your child appropriately.  We will be using our paint smocks to stay as clean as possible but sometimes they just aren’t enough. 

**Reminders:

·         Thursday, December 17^th at 7:00pm - Christmas Concert.  Pre-K’s need to be in the Library at 6:30. 

·         Friday, December 19^th – 2:30 Early Dismissal

·         December 22 to January 4^th – Christmas Break

·         January 7^th - Pre-K’s first day back after the Christmas Break
