Hello Pre-K Families!
We are soon approaching spring! It can't come soon enough!
We have been doing lots of table work and really improving our pencil skills and scissor work. we have been doing more crafts now that our ability to sit at the table has gotten longer too! as always, we have been going over alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, and animals, but at a faster speed.
We are currently learning about arctic animals. we go over where they live, what they eat, what are their predators, and all about the importance of camouflage! everyone seems to really enjoy it.
Our favorite song to do in class is the ants go marching. we all grab drums and shakers as we sing and march!
Spring break is coming quickly and i have been gathering all their work and art to be given right before spring break.
the weather is getting warmer. hopefully we will be able to get outside soon and have some outdoor fun!
till next time,

Happy Easter!
I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break and enjoyed a bit of time off! Well we are in the final stretch of pre-k where we are working hard to make sure we are ready for Kindergarten this fall.
I am proud to say we have been printing our own names, we are cutting and doing worksheets independently, and we have been trying some more challenging worksheets to become more confident with our numbers, letters, and shapes, and colors.
Crafting time has been putting together our "April Showers bring May Flowers" project board. We have been talking a bit about Spring weather and the new beginnings of baby animals, grass, leaves, flowers...and of course how the snow is finally going!
We have some fun topics coming up like farm animals and wild animals...what are the differences and similarities? So lots of fun to still be had! And just a reminder bingo is coming up on the 26th of April....and book fair begins the week of the 15th. I will be taking pre-k for a peek at the book fair and writing down some of their favorites.
With the warmer weather here now we will hopefully get a chance to enjoy some of it and get to play on the play structure at the end of each of our days!
Until next month!

Happy New Year, Happy Valentine's Day!
We are back at it in pre-k....we went full force into letters, colors, shapes, and also are learning about some Arctic animals. We have went over what keeps us warm. We have enjoyed making our own musical instruments. And, we have learning about how to be a good friend. We have reached a point where we can say our alphabet confidently, numbers up to 10, we have started adding some new shapes to our learning, and I am so proud of the girls!!!!! We have been doing lots of practicing and can now even print our own names...no tracing! I am so excited to see what progress these girls make in the upcoming months!

Hello Pre-k families,
Friday, May 6, 2022
Hello little families!
What a strange month we have had in April. With only a handful of days that we went to school in April so there just wasn't too much to report. I hope everyone enjoyed their spring break, and hopefully you got to enjoy a bit of family time on our snow days! And Happy Easter!
On the days we went to school, we have been working in our number of the day books. We have been learning new nursery rhymes that we act out with our puppets. We became engineers on our science day and built bridges and cities out of blocks and popsicle sticks. When we are not busy working on worksheets we have been learning how to work as a team doing puzzles together, we have been learning about each other at circle time, and of course, we always finish our day on a high note with some fun songs and dancing!
We are in the last chunk of our pre k days...so crazy to see the changes in all of you. There has been some amazing progress in your printing, cutting, gluing, following directions, working together and learning to share. I am just so proud of you guys....we have had an incredible journey thus far!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies!

Hello families of Prekindergarten!
Welcome back! I sure missed everyone over the holidays...and hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. Back to school means back to work, and back to playing with our friends. Since getting back we've started to go through our alphabet again with uppercase and lowercase. We have gotten too good at the basic 5 shapes so have had to add pentagons, trapezoids, hexagons, and octagons to the mix! Very impressive kiddos! We continue to keep up with our scissor skills, gluing, and printing. The past few classes we have been learning about arctic animals, how they stay warm, and what they eat. We have made some of these animals during our crafting time.....they are extra cute!
Stay Warm ! ! !

Certainly, the Pre-kindergartens are having such a great time learning.
They are continuously learning and mastering the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. They are tracing, coloring, cutting and gluing. They are learning simple sight words. They love dancing and playing. We are practicing catching the ball.
They are also doing some fun spring arts and crafts. They will learn more about Spring season in the next coming weeks. Depending on the weather, we will try to do some walking around the playground for any sign of Spring.

March 2021
Spring is coming. Let us look forward to more beautiful days.
The Pre-kindergartens are always looking forward to this season and we are excited about it. Certainly, the year is going by so fast. And the students in Pre-K are really growing up so fast just like the trees and flowers - soon they will have branches full of leaves and flowers. And just like the bees in the garden, the Pre-k's are keeping themselves busy. They are growing up so quickly and before
you know it, they will be ready and off to Kindergarten.
Here is what has been happening in Pre-K:
We are continuously making our school and our students safe and healthy. Continue to wash hands, hand sanitize and social distance. Don't come to school when feeling unwell.
Friday, March 19 – In-Service NO SCHOOL
Monday March 29 - Friday April 2 – Spring Break
Wednesday April 7 - Classes Resume for Pre-Kindergarten
Take care always.

On the fourth week of this month - February 22-26, 2021, is “I Love to Read” month. I would like to ask each student to bring two of their favorite story books to share with the class. One is for a book that they will be exchanging with their classmate. Once books were brought to school, it will be staying in the library for a few days then students can bring it home. The other book that they will bring will be read in the class.
February is also Valentine’s Day. We will not be giving out any treats to each other. We will be doing Valentines themed activities.

Please continue hand washing and social distancing. Stay safe and healthy. Thank you.
