Wow! It’s
hard to believe that we are in the month of June already and getting so close
to the end of the school year! However,
we still have lots to do in Pre-K before our last day on Wednesday, June, 24th.
After we finished
learning about plants in May we started talking about caterpillars and
butterflies. We have read books, made
crafts and looked at pictures of these insects.
The students loved reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar over and
over again.
We are still
going to the computer lab with our grade 8 buddies and the students are
becoming much more efficient at using the mouse and navigating the
websites. This is one of the Pre-K’s
favourite activities. They really look
forward to working with their buddies and even ask for them on a regular
basis.
It has been
such a pleasure teaching the Pre-K’s this year!
It is wonderful to see the growth and progress made in each child
throughout the school year. Thank you to
all the parents who volunteered in the classroom, your help is much
appreciated.

Wednesday,
June 24th – Last day of Pre-Kindergarten/Farewell Celebration
On the last day
of Pre-K families are welcome to join us for a small farewell celebration in
the classroom. We will start by sharing
a few things we’ve learned over the school year, students will get a certificate
of completion and we will end with a little party. I hope to see all of our families there!
Take care
and have a wonderful summer!
Mrs. Shade
